Join Maggie and Zoe from Cradle & Kin Family First Aid to teach you how to recognise and respond to a childhood choking emergency, including:
- Recognising common household choking hazards
- The difference between a mild and severe airway obstruction
- Life saving choking first aid techniques
They'll also dive into how to recognise and respond to allergies and anaphylactic reactions, including:
- Signs and symptoms of an allergy versus anaphylaxis
- Allergic reaction first aid
- Anaphylaxis first aid (including how to use an epipen)
The session will wrap up with a paramedic Q&A, your chance to ask anything to do with first aid or pre-hospital care.
